After 36 years of dedicated service, Brenda Webster is retiring.
At Made For Trade, we have always believed that our people are our greatest asset. Brenda’s incredible career within the business is a perfect example of that belief in action. Last year, we had the pleasure of celebrating her 35-year milestone with us; now, as she retires after 36 years, we’re taking a moment to recognise her remarkable contribution.
Brenda’s journey with Made For Trade is simply special. She first joined the company as a Cleaner before going on to take on a wide range of roles across the business, including Receptionist, Remedials and Customer Service, Sales, and most recently, Credit Controller within our Accounts Department.
Her varied experience has given Brenda a unique and genuine understanding of Made For Trade from every angle. Over the years, she has become a valued colleague, a familiar face, and an important part of the company’s story.
To show our appreciation, the team gathered for a celebratory buffet on Monday to thank her for everything she has contributed over the last 36 years.
Managing Director, Bradley Gaunt had the honour of presenting Brenda with a beautiful bouquet of flowers, while her colleagues in her department gifted her a golden watering can, a copy of Confessions of a Cleaner, and plenty of cakes and treats to mark the occasion. The office was filled with warm wishes, heartfelt hugs, and plenty of fond memories.
Richard Gaunt, Founder of Aanco / Made For Trade, also visited to personally wish Brenda well before her departure. Having been part of the business for so many years, Brenda’s career journey is closely tied to the history and growth of Made For Trade, making Richard’s visit particularly meaningful.
Brenda’s dedication, experience, and positive impact have helped shape the Made For Trade we know today. From everyone across the business, thank you, Brenda, for your incredible service, commitment, and friendship over the past 36 years.
