Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement

Aanco (UK) Ltd t/a Made For Trade

This statement is made pursuant to section 54(1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and sets out the steps Aanco (UK) Ltd t/a Made For Trade has taken, and continues to take, to address the risk of modern slavery and human trafficking within our business and supply chains.

Our Business

Aanco (UK) Ltd t/a Made For Trade designs, manufactures, and supplies innovative home improvement products across the UK. We recognise that modern slavery and human trafficking are serious global issues and that risks can exist within complex supply chains, particularly where materials or products are sourced internationally.

Our Commitment

We are committed to acting ethically, with integrity, and with transparency in all our business dealings and relationships. We operate a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery and human trafficking and expect the same high standards from everyone connected to our business.
While we acknowledge that no organisation can ever be entirely free from risk, we are committed to taking proactive steps to identify, assess, and reduce the likelihood of modern slavery occurring within our operations and supply chains.

Policies and Practices

We have implemented several policies and processes to support our commitment, including:

  • Modern Slavery & Human Trafficking Policy – outlining responsibilities and expectations across the business.
  • Whistleblowing Policy – enabling employees and stakeholders to raise concerns confidentially.
  • Supplier Awareness – suppliers are informed of our zero-tolerance stance on forced, bonded, trafficked, or child labour and are expected to uphold the same ethical standards.
  • Training and Awareness – training will be provided where necessary and appropriate to ensure relevant employees understand the risks of modern slavery and know how to identify and report concerns.

Supply Chain Due Diligence

We continue to develop our approach to supply chain due diligence, focusing on identifying and prioritising areas where risks may be higher. We expect our suppliers to uphold our standards and to promote the same principles throughout their own supply chains.

Responsibility and Oversight

The Board of Directors holds overall responsibility for ensuring compliance with this statement and our legal obligations under the Modern Slavery Act 2015.

The HR Department is responsible for the day-to-day implementation, communication, and monitoring of our modern slavery prevention measures, as well as providing training and guidance where required.

Review and Continuous Improvement

We review this statement and our supporting practices annually to ensure they remain effective and relevant. We will continue to strengthen our processes and raise awareness throughout our business and supply chain to prevent and address risks of modern slavery.
